James completed his B-Tech in Civil Engineering (cum laude) in 2011 at CUT. He then finished his MTech in Civil Engineering in 2016, his thesis titled Engineering Accessibility of Open Recreational Facilities in Residential Areas of Cities in South Africa. His PhD studies – titled Engineering Sustainable Public Parks in Residential Areas of Cities in South Africa – is focused on transportation engineering and urban planning, rooted in the application of systems analysis. James currently serves as a mentor and advisor for engineering diploma students, and is also the main supervisor for one master’s student.
