Ayodeji hails from Nigeria. He completed his MSc in Economics at the University of Jos in Nigeria in 2009. Over his master’s studies, he examined the effect of globalisation on poverty reduction in the Nigerian economy. He then worked in the banking industry for about eight year. For his doctoral research at UKZN, Ayodeji is examining the dynamic relationships that might exist among macroeconomic policy shocks, agricultural productivity and food supply stability in the Sub-Saharan African region. The research intends to contribute to extant literature by providing policy recommendations on how agricultural productivity growth and enhanced stable food supply can be achieved through effective macroeconomic policy. Ayodeji has published in two reputable journals. He is a member of the Canadian Economics Association, as well as the Macroeconomic Working Group of the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance at UKZN. Ayodeji loves reading and travelling locally and internationally.
